Behind the Scenes: My Journey with Unsplash

For years, I’ve relied on Unsplash to source stunning imagery for various design projects. This platform has been a cornerstone for creatives around the globe, offering high-quality, free-to-use photographs that fuel countless artistic endeavours. Realising the immense value it brings, I decided it was high time to contribute some of my own work to this incredible community.

Unsplash stands out as a premier resource for photographers and creatives alike. It’s a treasure trove of over a million high-resolution photos that are entirely free to use. This model not only aids designers, marketers, and other professionals in sourcing beautiful imagery but also provides photographers with a platform to showcase their work to a global audience. The spirit of sharing and community on Unsplash is unparalleled, making it a unique and invaluable resource in the digital age.

My Contribution and Success on Unsplash

Since setting aside time to upload my work, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. In just one week, three of my images have been featured on the Unsplash homepage, collectively amassing 680,988 views and 6,738 downloads. Not too shabby for only having 33 carefully curated photos in my portfolio!

The images I’ve shared range from landscape and lifestyle photography I’ve captured over the years to shots from my old blog that focused on photography equipment and travelling. This mix showcases not only the diversity of my photographic skills but also the depth of my experience.

This recent success on Unsplash underscores the importance of high-quality imagery, especially in fields like product and lifestyle photography. Partnering with a variety of clients, including clothing brands, magazines, and musicians, I’ve honed my skills in product photography to present products in the optimal light, build trust with audiences, and provide an authentic perspective. If you're seeking exceptional product photography in Scotland, my work exemplifies the high standards you can expect.

High-quality product photography isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s about enhancing the appeal of your products and ultimately boosting sales. Whether it’s capturing the intricate details of a garment or the essence of a lifestyle, the right photograph can make all the difference. This is particularly true for businesses looking to improve their product photography in Scotland.

A client, who manages a property company, shared their experience:

“I hired Andrew to do some freelance work for the property company I manage. I needed photos resized and a few edited/photoshopped. It was a large job with over 400 photos needing done, however this was no trouble for Andrew at all. He got all photos back to me within a couple of days, which was way before the date I required them, and he even did a few extra that I sent to him afterwards. Really efficient and high-quality work. Would use Andrew again without a doubt.”

If you’re looking to create beautiful, eye-catching images that resonate with your audience and elevate your brand, I’d love to work with you. Let’s collaborate to bring your vision to life with stunning product photography that stands out. Specialising in product photography in Scotland, I am committed to delivering images that captivate and convert.

Feel free to reach out and let’s discuss how we can work together to create images that captivate and convert.
